This playpen was packaged well, but the directions are lacking. It’s still easy to assemble but just found the documents included unusual.. each wooden piece has one end with plastic snaps that connect with the plastic joint parts. The other connection will be made with a screw and Allen wrench. My particular size has two smaller pieces and six longer pieces (one being the door). It also arrived with some Velcro sticky squares that I’m not sure what to do with. Overall, it seems like it’ll work as intended. I do wonder if it can be pushed or slides around easily on top of a foam mat. I’ll update my review if/when that occurs.Also, this could definitely be made into a hexagon shape or even made smaller/larger with additional pieces.Easy to assemble. Clips together with plastic pieces. Haven't tried to take it apart, but it isn't super portable if that's what you're looking for. I like that there are a couple of different sized pieces, so you can either make a rectangle or a square. We opted for square! My only issue is that the panels can push out a bit at the joints, so dirt can get wedged between the walls and the floor mat (if you have one).It looks so great in my house. Love that it’s large and spacious. Running my hand up and down the bars, I noticed the wood was a little rough with micro splinters. To fix it I rubbed everything down with coconut oil using a microfiber cloth and buffing away the micro splinters til all of the would was very smooth. Other than that, I’m very pleased with the look and use of this product. I’m trying to use less plastic and this seems like a logical solution for a baby playpen.I love the look of this playpen! I have this in our main living area so I didn’t want to have an eyesore for a playpen. It was easy to put together. The door is a little difficult to open and close but I think that’s so that a child can’t open it easily. ( nothing that you can’t figure out but just not a seamless open) One thing I did notice is that the large screws can fall out. My son sometimes holds on to the side and rocks it and I think it has loosened the screws. I found one inside the playpen. I would just suggest every so often going around and tightening each screw to prevent that. ( not a reason to not buy it but just make sure to do that)I've been using this product since my son was 6 months. He's now almost 11 months and I can say I use this item daily. I'm able to keep him busy for about 30 min before his attention is exhausted. However its large enough for me to go in there with him or other small children to keep him active. My 7 year old goes in there with him at times and they have a great time.I bought some mats to put in as well as balls. Thats the only thing I won't suggest. The ball pit colorful balls may work better with the knitted playpen. My little one through them out and we found ourselves having colorful balls all over the house.Other wise play pen is sturdy, great addition for my son to stay safe.I really like this playpen. It's very easy to set up and it's just the right size. Bigger than your typical playpen but not so large that it takes up your whole room if you live in a smaller house or apartment. The wood makes it a little bit more stylish as well. It's unfinished so you may be able to stain it with non toxic stain or paints if desired. It is also a playpen where you can adjust it's size to be bigger or smaller depending on your needs. I have been able to attach toys to the bars to keep more of the floor clear for crawling and playing. The door is easy to use once you get the hang of it. The only thing is to make sure it's closed or else it can cause some pinched little fingers. All in all I am very satisfied with this purchase and definitely recommend it.We have two of these in different areas in the house and very pleased with them. They’re low profile look blends great with out decor.This has been a great play pen. It’s very sturdy which is great as my daughter is pulling up on it to stand. It doesn’t bend under her weight and doesn’t slide around on our wood floors. The wood design is also very nice and clean!
