My daughter loves this item for her baby. It was easy to assemble,to travel with and sturdy enough for the baby grow and play into for a long time. Excellent buy.Good quality but not easy to travel with.I bought this since I am due in 7 weeks. I will update this review once baby gets here. ?First impression is that it’s sturdy and adorable. Lots of features to it, no issues so far.Update: This is the best! Baby is almost two months and we use this every day and night. The little black machine is was okay, but it wasn’t worth replacing the batteries so often. We love that the sides are mesh, since baby uses it as a bassinet. Our baby, although tiny, still manages to roll around and move through out the night, the mesh helps to make sure she stays safe and is able to breath if she gets pressed against the siding (unlike her dream on me bassinet which only has mesh in some areas.) We have not traveled with it yet, but as far as having it for home I wouldn’t have picked anything else. It’s made our lives so much easier with all the pockets for diaper changers and such.What I don’t like about the playard:1. There were some minor defects which I can still live with it as it does not affect the functionality of the product. You can see that the hook in the 3rd and 4th picture is not properly made. It is slanted but it still clips on firmly to the playard. So i decided not to return it.2. The mattress in the 5th picture has a dent in the middle, above the giraffe. I believe the items that was wrapped around by the mattress caused the dent as they are very heavy. I wonder if most of the mattresses in each new box end up like that.3. It has a smell that feels like it has been kept for a very long time in an old closet. But it’s nothing too strong.4. It was not easy to assemble for me as the clips of the canopy was extremely difficult to attach to the playard. Also, my canopy came in U shape and so I needed to align the inner center strap. However, the instruction manual did not say to make sure that the clips need to be facing outwards. So I did it wrong for the first time and it felt awkward when I lift up and push down the canopy.6. From the 1st picture, you can see that the box is damaged and the product is exposed. Hence, the storage bag for the playard is damaged and from the 2nd picture, the leg that was exposed was also a little damaged. Again, not a big deal but I just don’t feel good about it.What I like about the playard:1. Has lots of storage place. This is one of the main reasons why I bought this playard.2. Has the canopy so that it can help block out some light while baby is sleeping.3. Has a changing table that can be flipped to the side.4. Feels quite sturdy.I suppose I know why this playard has a $40 discount. I just hope the clips don’t break on me.We use this all day every day for diaper changes. Cuz complaints are that the diaper changing area is not washable. With a boy that pee’s everywhere the entire diaper pack n play is soaked in pee.The ‘mattress’ this comes with is not really a mattress. It’s cardboard covered in fabric. So that’s soaked in pee too. I am ordering a waterproof mattress for this, and gonna put sheets on it to change regularly so that the pee can be taken care of. Also gonna just throw away the mobile thing the giraffe’s. It’s covered in pee also.I would still buy again, boys just like to cover everything in pee, needs to be more machine washable.She loved the only thing is no mattress or pillow top for the babyArrived fast. Was hard to put together. No odor with mine like other complained. Bassinet area was perfect. The changing table I used 3 times but decided the counter worked better.We used this for almost 8 months for our granddaughter. We also did not have to break this down to move in between rooms. It fit fine through our standard doors. The attached for the music, light and vibration worked perfect the entire time. Noticed when we lowered and removed the bassinet it was hard to reach our granddaughter. We are both young grandparents too. Decided it was time to get a crib. We loved this pack and play and I would recommend it to anyone. It looks nice works great. I am keeping this and will use if needed in other areas of our home or for camping. I will also use it for future grandkids.Cons:hard to put together and break down. If you read directions though it explains how to do this. Breaking down and put together you need to have the center completely up before being able to break down the sides Or put sides up to latchtogether. Once taken down everything does not fit in carrying bag that is supplied either.
