There are some who seem to be pleasantly surprised by how substantial it is, and others who apparently expected more. I guess perspective is everything - lol! For myself, I am very pleased with these stands, especially in the under 200 dollar price range. I have Kupo c-satands, cine stands, etc., but these junior roller stands get more use than any other in my studio. I find them to have the perfect balance of size, strength, and portability. Highly recommended!
