I used this sling from the time my son was 2 months old to the time he was 9 months old. The great thing about it is it adjusts to the position your baby wants to be in. When he was really little he was lying down in it face up all snuggled close to me (like the pictures in the advertisement). When he got to be older he started to curl his legs around and kind of sit up in it facing out when we'd go out and I'd wrap the sling closer to my hip and carry him that way and he loved it and It took so much pressure off my back. It was easier than taking a stroller, took up NO ROOM in the car, fit in my purse, and I always had people asking me what it was and where I got it. The other great thing was if I needed to nurse in an emergency I could just lift him up and there he was. I didn't need to try to lift some contraption over my head. I have owned the bjorn and some other carriers that seemed like jigsaw puzzles to get adjusted. I loved how simple this one was. The only downside was the fabric. It was very hot in the summer. I lived in the south at the time that I was using it and in 90 degree weather the baby could get overheated with this khaki fabric. We've been 'wearing' our daughter since day one and continue to now that she is three months. This helped me tremendously in getting to 'know' my baby. It allows me to be responsive immediately to her needs because I can read her cues before she gets to a full blown cry. It helps me accomplish tasks around the house and makes shopping/running errands easy. We do not even own the detachable infant carseats. I cannot imagine having to lug one of those things around!
