Originally I purchased the Ergobaby 360 Cool Air baby carrier and I ended up not really liking it and returning it for this carrier instead. I picked the Ergobaby without any research since everyone said that the Ergobaby was the best and I wanted the face out option. This carrier is so much better! I can carry my 13 lb 8 week old baby without having him be smashed in the carrier! It's much more comfortable for him and for me.Reasons why I like the Lillebaby Embossed Carrier more than the Ergobaby 360 Cool Air Carrier:1. The Lillebaby does not require an infant insert. My very tall/large 8 week old baby was too big for the Ergobaby infant insert but too small to be in the carrier without it. I tried rolling a blanket under him but it didn't work very well and he was still smashed inside of the carrier. With the Ergobaby he couldn't have his legs out but was really too big to have them inside of the carrier. He loves having his legs out in the narrow seat infant carry option with the Lillebaby and the carrier doesn't seem to be smashing his head in to my chest as much. To me this is the most important reason why I like the Lillebaby carrier better than the Ergobaby carrier.2. The hood is removable on the Lillebaby carrier but not on the Ergobaby carrier. I don't see myself ever using the hood and it just adds extra bulk when it's rolled up into the pocket. This is another thing the adds weight/bulk/heat to the Ergobaby 360 Cool Air carrier.3. The Ergobaby 360 Cool Air carrier has lots of padding on the body of the carrier (under the baby's bottom). To me this seems to defeat the purpose of having the mesh since the carrier was still very thick due to the padding. On the Ergobaby 360 Cool Air carrier there is really only one small section in the middle of the baby's back that is just mesh, the rest of the carrier is heavily padded. The Lillebaby Embossed carrier does not have any padding at all in the body of the carrier which makes is lightweight, cool and more comfortable.4. The mesh fabric on the Ergobaby 360 Cool Air is scratchy. It seems fine at first but after wearing it for a while it would bother my shoulders and leave marks on my baby's face when he leaned against it. It's winter here so I'm not sure how the mesh on the Ergobaby cool air carrier would feel against his bare legs in the summer but I imagine it wouldn't be good. The fabric on the Lillebaby embossed carrier is super soft and comfortable both inside and out. No more red marks!5. The Lillebaby carrier has a pocket and the Ergobaby 360 Cool Air carrier does not. Now when I want to walk the dog or get the mail I can bring my keys and phone even if I'm wearing yoga pants with no pockets!This is my third baby carrier, and the first one I can say I actually like.Both of my kids are big - we're talking 20 lbs at 4 months, or wearing 12 month outfits at 4 months - so it's often a challenge to find carriers (or strollers or other equipment) that works for their weight and size while also working for their age/developmental age. We've been using this carrier for almost 3 months now and so far it's worked perfectly every time. Adjusting the seat for a smaller/younger child isn't difficult, and once I had it adjusted properly, we were ready to go without any complaints from the little one. The optional head support and hood/cover are easy to use - I love the way the clips and latches are in exactly the right place, I didn't have to resort to the guidebook to figure out how to make them work. Recently, I've started wearing baby facing out, which he loves even more - in part because he's thrilled to nom on the edges of the carrier - and I'm ok with letting him do it.The added back support piece is wonderful. Compared to my previous carriers, my back notices the difference and I can wear significantly longer before feeling any strain or discomfort.I'm around a US womens plus 22/24 and the waist belt fits comfortably (but there's very little additional room on the belt). All the straps have room for my body and the little one without either of us being squished or uncomfortable.I also like the color and stylish pattern. Sure, the nice features are more important, but I've got to say, I actually look forward to wearing it because it's so pretty. I'm really happy I took the plunge on this carrier and I look forward to using it as long as I can - unlike my previous two, one of which I used 3 times, one of which I used 2 times.I did SO much research when picking out a baby carrier and this one appealed to me because I kept reading how soft the inner layer was, I liked the optional, adjustable head/neck support, lumbar support and the large zipper pocket.I have fallen in love with this carrier but when I first took it out of the box I was initially disappointed. The inner layer wasn't "exquisitly soft", as I'd heard it described so many times and it seemed bulkier than I'd hoped it would be, all the buckles and adjustments were intimidating. Then, when I put it on, the waist band was wider and stiffer than I expected and I was convinced that my torso was too short for it and when I would walk up the stairs or sit down it would dig into my upper thigh. I was so sad thinking it wasn't fitting me THEN I just wore it a little higher. Problem solved. I was under the impression you had to wear it a certain way, but there's more than one right way to wear it.After a couple of days wearing it and taking it on and off my baby and I both got used to it and really came to love it! It's plenty soft (babies don't care as much as we seem to think they do), it's really really easy to adjust and there are a lot of ways to adjust it, which can appear intimidating, but very useful, especially for different body types and just different preferences (my husband likes wearing our baby lower and looser and i like her a little higher and closer to me) and once you get it adjusted how you like it you can just keep it adjusted there until someone else wears it. I also love the sun hood and how it has it's own little pouch, which is an added pocket for other things too. I love the zipper pocket so I don't have to carry a purse usually and i love the adjustable neck support, it's so handy for when baby falls asleep or gets overstimulated, I can move around freely without making her head flop around. And it's incredibly comfortable and supportive. i can carry her for hours and not feel it the next day!All in all it's a great carrier with lots of different options as far as adjustments and ways to wear it and supportive and pretty and practical!This is a great baby carrier but can be quite fiddly to put on, I think it will be fine with practice but there are so many clips & fastenings it can be confusing. My little boy seems happy in it though & the extra back support is the best out of all the carriers available on the market.Absolutely love it. I use it daily with my 16 week old & she loves it too - big smiles when I show it to her!! It's really comfy, much better than my last carrier by a rival company.. Doesn't dig in at the shoulders & the pocket is really handy, as is the built in hood! I've had many compliments while wearing this too. Happy mama & baby here.Borrowed this from a sling library and ended up buying my own. So versatile and will last for ages as goes from newborn to much older. Super easy to use and really comfortable. Great quality making the price worth it. Definitely a good investmentMuch better than the carrier it is replacing. Good quality, well thought-out design, and comfortable. The carrier evenly distributes baby's weight and provides good lumbar support. Little details like elasticated bands to tidy away excess straps add to the overall usability. Considering there are so many on the market at a wide range of price points - I'm very happy with this purchase.I returned this carrier because I felt for me it was too bulky however I have to be fair and say it is beautiful.The baby definitely feels supported and the lumbar support will help. It is a light material.I don't think the inside lining was as soft as it's presented.
