I keep this Pookie Poncho on the stroller (open) at all times because San Francisco can go from a sunny and warm afternoon to a cold, foggy, and windy one in a matter of minutes. I use it every day on the Uppababy stroller and have used it a few times with the Mesa car seat. It fits both items perfectly keeping baby warm and toasty while enjoying the view. This pookie poncho fits even better than the proprietary Uppababy covers, which I also have and are now just collecting dust. I have not used it with a baby carrier because a regular maternity coat fits just fine over the baby.After looking at a bunch of options for our 4 month old, we settled on the Pookie Poncho because it worked for car seat, carrier and stroller (a lot of options work for car seat and stroller, but not the carrier) and it got the thumbs up from The Car Seat Lady and several friends. It's nicely made, easy to use and as good looking as a baby sleeping bag can be.Pros:-Versatile-Easy to fit on any carrier (it has an elastic and Velcro strap on either side, so you can attach it to pretty much any kind of strap.)-Toasty warm (I think it will handle NYC winter just fine), but unzips when it's warmer-reach through pockets let me keep my hands warm when I'm using it on the carrier, but will also let our daughter get her hands out when she's older-Looks good and well madeCons:- there are two different hoods: a smaller infant one that works with the carrier and then a larger one that works with the car seat/stroller. It's a little annoying to switch back and forth, but not terrible.- The trade off for having it work with car seat / carrier / stroller is that there's no back part, so doesn't provide any padding or warmth for the stroller. This was worth it to us to have the carrier option, but the 212 might be a better choice if you're not a carrier person.It is really useful in cold weather with some exceptions (details below).Works great with my baby bjiorn carrier. I use it on my baby facing out. Now it is spring here in Boston and yet it is still cold. I have been using this since March (we had some very cold days).PROSIt goes on in 2 seconds. It is warm. The holes allow you to interact with baby's hands.The poncho still covers my baby's legs (my baby is 6 months and 90th percentile for height).It allowed me to enjoy the city moving around efficiently.Overall I am very happy.CONSThe only problem: the hood is really useless when your baby is in a baby carrier facing out. The hood you see in the picture is not the one you would use for the baby carrier. There are two hoods. One small and flimsy to be used for baby in carrier facing out. That hood does not attach well and if it is windy or rainy the baby is not protected. Water and wind enters from the sides and back of his/her neck.When we use the poncho with the baby carrier we do not use the hood at all. We use hat and scarf to protect baby's head and neck.In short: if is it cold this poncho + carrier works well. But if it is really windy and cold (and it happened a lot his year in Boston), then we do not use the carrier.There are many elements to this cover that need to be fixed and for the price, I do not recommend it.Firstly, the the elastic used to attach the cover to a carrier, carseat, or stroller easily stretches out and does not secure the cover well. The poncho is supposed to be a more versatile than the Bundle Me and safer in a carseat. However, because of the elastic-velcro side attachments it does not stay snugly over baby and does not create the same cozy, cocoon-like feel that the Bundle Me does. The second major issue I have with this product is the infant hood attachment and the front hand warmers. When using the poncho as a carrier cover the hood snaps are far too spaced out thus leaving gaps for cold air to get in. The front hand warmers are pointless for the wearer as they do not provide warmth AND they allow cold air to get to baby. For a hand warmer to be practical it would need to be a lined pocked that does not affect baby. Finally, considering the price, the insulation should be better. After one wash the fill bunches and it is difficult to get it spread out evenly. All told, I think this product could be great if some design issues are tweeked.Lifesaver up here in the northern Midwest. We don’t leave home without it in the winter. If you have a little ones and it gets cold where you are, you need this.This is AWESOME. I love how easy it is to strap over my guy when I wear him in the Ergo - or even to strap it over the stroller--although the convenience factor for me really hits home for when I'm wearing him. The one little thing I have is that it doesn't COMPLETELY cover his shoulders as much as I thought--I have to readjust it every so often, pulling it over him. But I still give this 5 stars. I haven't found a comparable product at all, and this is WONDERFUL., Very warm. I don't recommend getting the lightweight one if you live where it gets below 45. It's really awesome. I dress him in regular clothing--warm, though, with a hat and possibly a scarf. I don't usually put on an extra jacket or coat with this (unless it's below 30 or something), because my body heat really does keep him warm.I have two of these for each of my sons (2.5 and 4 months) this is a SUPER versatile product than can be used on any baby carrier, any car seat, and any stroller. It's more expensive than some other car seat/stroller covers and blankets but it can be used three different ways- plus it can be adjusted to fit your newborn - and continue to be used through the toddler years. Worth EVERY cent. Washes and wears nicely, easy to use (take on and off/change appratius), eliminates the dreaded jacket debate, beautifully made, and most importantly keeps your child nice and warm. One of my top 10 baby must haves!I prefer this over 7am enfant's other carriers because of its versatility.We really love this for keeping baby warm while hiking or running errands. Only issue is the skits for your hands end up letting wind through kinda defeating the purpose. It keeps the heat in well. And the fact that it's a 3 in 1 is amazing. I've had a lot of people ask where I got it or what brand it is. I've recommended to friends and they have also bought it and love it. But the only complaint that I have about it is that I ordered the heather grey and I received the heather grey with stars. Which isn't that big of a deal which is why I still have it. Plus living in northern Ontario it gets pretty cold out. And the fact that my baby is still toasty warm has me very happy with this product.Perfecto, lo usamos para el grupo 0 y para la mochila y es muy fácil de colocar y cambiar. Lo consiglio a tutti quelli che vogliono praticare il baby wearing anche d'inverno.Il poncho ha le caratteristiche che cercavo, solo non ho avuto modo di testare quanto tiene caldo e se isola dalla pioggia.
